The Franklin Brothers Band is a powerhouse 10-piece soul, rock, and funk ensemble from New London, Connecticut, widely celebrated as Southern New England’s premier Steely Dan tribute band. Formed in June 2013 by brothers Jay and Carl Franklin, the group originally started as a vehicle for their own horn-driven original music before fully embracing the complex, jazz-rock arrangements of Steely Dan due to massive crowd demand. Supported by a stellar lineup of local musicians—including a dynamic four-piece horn section, a tight rhythm unit, and powerhouse vocalists—the band delivers a sophisticated, big-band groove that makes them a headline staple at major regional summer concert series and prominent casino venues like Mohegan Sun's Wolf Den.
